‘Tis the season!
Can you believe that Christmas is almost here?? Things have been busy here around the ministry. You can read all about it in the update below, plus I will be posting a Christmas Catalog for STEPS Home. Would you prayerfully consider giving a gift to STEPS this year?
The following is excerpts from my journal from my most recent trip to see the girls of STEPS Home in India.
July 25 –
We landed late and Mike’s suitcase didn’t arrive. It took a while to file a claim with the airport. (We found out two days later that his suitcase was sent on to the city of Bangalore.)
Instead of leaving the airport around 4 or 5, like was scheduled, we didn’t get out of there until 7. Rohan and Ben were there to pick us up, and we stopped by the office quick before heading to the house. By the time we got to the house, the girls were already at school. But it was good to see everyone (Isaac, Tara, et al) and we hung out until breakfast time. (more…)
If ever I had a moment to share that sentiment with Woody from Toy Story, it was recently. As our ministry is traveling around with the production Questioning Aslan and our two British actors, I have been having fun running the sounds for the play. It has all gone very smoothly, except for one instance.
Two minutes into the play, the computer that I was running the sounds from decided that it HAD to shut down that very instant. There was no getting around it. The black box of death and appeared and it would not be ignored. I wanted so badly to scream, “This is a perfect time to panic!”
Yesterday I hit the big 3-1. It wasn’t near as hard as changing decades last year. Since my weekend was busy with ministry stuff (selling tickets, the play performances, etc) and the Super Bowl, it didn’t leave much time for me to celebrate. But I had Saturday night free, so I went out with three of my good friends: Theresa, Wendy, and Shaun.
I decided that the thing I wanted to do most was have Indian food. So I got dressed up in one of my Indian outfits (a chula, to be exact) and we went to Taj. The food was excellent and the darling Indian couple that runs the restaurant were so sweet and excited to learn that I’d been to India.
Happy New Year!
I pray that yhat you are well! And I pray that the Lord blesses you in special ways in the coming year! I know I sure was blessed last year, and I’m excited to see what the Lord has in store for the coming year. We are especially excited about next month and the unique opportunity we have to bring the message of the Gospel, identity, and freedom to churches! Find out all about it in my update this month which you will find below. (Click on it to enlarge it for easier reading.)
Happy summer! Can you believe June is almost done already?
How can I be praying for you this month? I love being able to share in taking your requests to the Father.

I simply love this skit. It is so beautifully powerful. It makes me tear up, thinking of all that Jesus has done for me and saved me from. There is nothing you’ve done that Jesus can’t save you from! You just have to ask Him…. (more…)
