Homemade Mocha


I love the smell of coffee. I love the flavored coffee-type drinks from Starbucks. But I can’t stand the taste of plain coffee… not even with milk and sugar.

Recently at Bible study one morning, I was extra tired. I knew I needed some caffeine… but I wasn’t willing to choke down that dark liquid. I coffee-ghiradelli-double-chocolate-hot-cocoa-packetrummaged through the teas, looking for something that might do the trick. Chocolate Chip Lava Cookies


I found a delectable recipe one day floating around on facebook, so I traced it back to it’s source to get the full set of directions. After all, who doesn’t love molten chocolate oozing out of the center of something yummy, like a cookie??

My first (double) batch I made for our Sister Splash women’s night at church… and they disappeared like… well, not like hotcakes, but like hot cookies! Ooey-gooey cookies!

I made them again for my small group last night, and again they were a hit! I think I may have found my new go-to recipe when I need to bring a desert. So here is the recipe for you:  (more…)

Cracker Bark


Cracker Bark (otherwise known as Saltine Toffee Cookies) is a wonderfully easy treat that has become a huge hit in this house! It totally fulfills the sweet-tooth craving when the urge hits.
