Musings from a promise-collector

I have big news this month: God is closing this chapter of my life at Infusion, and moving me on to something else. I am sad to be leaving a ministry I dearly love, but excited at what He has next for me. You can read more about how the Lord has led me to this in the update below.

This will affect some of you who have been faithful to support me and the girls of STEPS. Please read the update below to find out what will be happening with your giving.

During this transition, I do need your help! Find out how you can help me as I close this missionary chapter of my life.

Please email or call me if you have any questions!  Read the rest of this entry »

We just had a most refreshing Staff Retreat last week! Now I’m about to embark in a couple of weeks of intense ministry and travel. I have briefly outlined it all in the attached Update. Please be praying for me as I minister to various groups and individuals. I covet your prayers on my behalf!

Please let me know how I can be praying for you!

Happy Summer!

I hope you had a restful and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend!

Summer has definitely kicked in around here. We have many things on our calendar for the upcoming months. Here are a few of them in my attached update.  Read the rest of this entry »

Lately I have seen two separate concepts floating around on the internet. One, to keep your straw in your soft drink (pop), turn the tab around and insert the straw through the hole. This prevents the straw from popping out of the can every few seconds.

Two, to keep your drink bug-free, Read the rest of this entry »

Hello and Happy Spring!

I think that it is officially Spring weather throughout the U.S. now. Yay!

With summer so quickly approaching, we have much going on here at the Ministry. One thing that will consume most of my focus this summer is a trip back to India to see the girls! Let me know if you’re interested in coming along with me.

Also some great news – my car is fixed! And it wasn’t as bad as I originally thought! Thank you, Jesus!

Hezekiah’s story can be found in 2 Kings 18-20 (as well as in 2 Chronicles 29-32 and in some of the prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, etc.). And his story opens up in 18:3 by telling us that he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. This is noteworthy when you consider who his father was – the evil King Ahaz.

King Hezekiah made it his mission to help point the people of Judah back to God. He tore down the high places (of idolatry), reinstated the Passover celebration, cleansed the Temple, restored Temple worship, and organized the priests. And he started this when he was only 25!  Read the rest of this entry »

Hey gorgeous gals!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend!

Brad’s Easter message was so encouraging, wasn’t it? (If you missed it, it will be posted here soon: http://www.tworiverschurch.org/703611.ihtml.)

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the idea of living outside of our comfort zone. I had dinner the other night with Lynda… Lori and Michelle’s mom. As we conversed, Lynda made a small circle with her hands in front of her and called it the “comfort zone”… then pointed to an unseen point just up and to the right, and called it “where the ‘magic’ happens.” I decided to illustrate it – look at the picture:
