Musings from a promise-collector

A church here in Knoxville recently did something very profoundly simple in one of their services. It is simply beautiful. I can barely watch the video of it without crying. It is an incredibly powerful testimony to the redeeming work of Jesus.

2 Corinthians 4 – 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.  7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

(If you would like to see more of these Cardboard Testimonies, just go to YouTube and search for them. There are many other powerful videos.)

If you had a piece of cardboard, what would you write? Mine might read:

If you feel comfortable sharing, I would love to hear how you would write what Jesus has done for you in the comments below.
